SEM FALSE SPIREA  Sorbaria sorbifolia ‘Sem’
• A compact, colourful, and far better‑behaved form of False Spirea, prized for its spectacular spring foliage. New leaves emerge in vivid shades of orange, copper, pink, and red, gradually softening to bright chartreuse‑green through summer.
• Produces airy plumes of creamy‑white flowers in mid‑summer, resembling astilbe blooms and attracting bees and other pollinators.
• Much less aggressive than the standard species, forming a dense, mounded shrub with only light suckering—making it suitable for urban yards, mixed borders, and ornamental plantings.
• Extremely hardy and adaptable, thriving in clay, loam, and even poor soils. Tolerates drought once established but shows best colour with consistent moisture.
• Excellent for adding texture and multi‑season colour contrast in foundation plantings, cottage gardens, and naturalized areas.
• Full Sun to Part Shade
• Zone 2, 1–1.5 m Height × 1–1.5 m Width
