Custom Planting
Contact us to book your delivery and/or custom planting services for this year’s growing season!
When you choose us for delivery and planting, you can be sure that the same people who spent years growing your beautiful trees and shrubs, will provide them with best start putting down new roots! Here’s a brief outline of the process, so you know what to expect from our experienced team:
- When we receive your request, we will gather all the information we need for your project. Sending us pictures of the site is helpful and we’ll likely ask questions related to access, safety, and if any required permits have been obtained. We will also answer any questions you may have for us.
- We will perform a site inspection within one week of booking – either free or charged a nominal travel fee, if required.
- We’ll finalize a quote for the services requested. Finalized cost for services will be invoiced and must be paid prior to any services being performed.
- We’ll ensure that Utility Safety Partners has been contacted and utility lines, if any, have been marked on the site before we dig.
- We’ll schedule a delivery and planting day with you, and give you a call 1-2 days in advance to confirm that everything is ready to go.
This service is applied to deciduous trees less than 50mm and conifers less than 2m. This services includes both the addition of free high quality soil in the planting site as well as the removal of the old soil from the dug hole.
This services is applied to smaller trees that are in difficult locations to plant (such as tight to a fence, close to electrical lines etc.) and require that the hole be dug by hand. This services includes both the addition of free high quality soil in the planting site as well as the removal of the old soil from the dug hole.
This service is applied to deciduous trees ranging in size of 50mm-100mm and 2m-4m for conifers. This service includes both the addition of free high quality soil in the planting site as well as the removal of the old soil from the dug hole.
This service applies to moving large trees and includes both the digging up of the tree and the planting after. Rate does not include potential travel time to site.
This service applies to deciduous trees up to 100mm and conifers up to 4m and includes the removal of the tree as well as the root system. For trees larger than the previously mentioned sizes, tree removal using this service can still occur, but it will not include root system removal. This service includes the disposal of removed tree from site.
This service includes two stakes set up to support the tree trunk. This service is recommended as a means of support for new trees, especially those that are large and located in exposed and windy areas.
We recommend using this 20 gallon DeWitt water bag for newly established trees to help stabilize the moisture. This bag is appropriate for up to 150mm deciduous trees.
This service is applied to shrubs. This service includes both the addition of free high quality soil in the planting site as well as the removal of the old soil from the dug hole.
Pruning and shaping services are available for both small and large trees. Typically multiple small trees can be pruned within an hour whereas a large tree may take multiple hours.
Delivery
This option is available for both large and small trees as well as shrubs. Please note, in most cases a minimum of 2 hours is charged for a delivery regardless of location.
Picking up your purchases yourself is an option if you have an appropriate vehicle or trailer for safely transporting your purchases. We can help you load up your trees, shrubs and perennials, if assistance is required.
