Cranberry, Bailey Compact American

BAILEY COMPACT CRANBERRY  Viburnum trilobum ‘Bailey Compact’

• A dense, rounded deciduous shrub selected for its compact habit and clean, tri-lobed foliage that turns brilliant shades of red, orange, and burgundy in fall.
• Produces flat clusters of white spring flowers that attract a variety of pollinators; outer sterile florets create a showy halo around the fertile center blooms.
• Sets bright red berries in late summer to fall; technically edible but very tart and best used cooked for jellies, sauces, and preserves—highly valued by birds through winter.
• Adaptable and hardy, thriving in loam, clay, or moist soils; tolerates periodic drought once established and performs well in both naturalized and ornamental plantings.
• Full Sun to Part Shade
• Zone 2, 1.5–2 m Height × 1.5–2 m Width
