Spirea, Goldflame

GOLDFLAME SPIREA  Spiraea japonica ‘Goldflame’

• A colourful, compact shrub prized for its brilliant spring foliage, which emerges in fiery tones of orange, copper, and red before maturing to bright yellow‑green in summer. In fall, the leaves shift again to orange and red, giving this plant exceptional multi‑season interest.
• Produces clusters of rosy‑pink flowers in early to mid‑summer, attracting bees and other pollinators.
• Forms a neat, rounded mound with fine texture—excellent for borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, and adding contrast to darker shrubs and evergreens.
• Very easy to grow and adaptable, tolerating clay, urban pollution, and moderate drought once established. Responds well to pruning and can be rejuvenated by cutting back in early spring.
