LONE STAR LINDEN  Tilia americana ‘Lone Star’
• A narrowly upright selection of American Linden with a strong central leader and a tall, columnar to narrowly pyramidal crown, making it well‑suited for boulevards and tighter urban spaces where a full basswood would be too broad.
• Large, heart‑shaped leaves create a dense, cooling canopy and turn clear yellow in fall; smooth grey bark on young trees provides a clean winter profile.
• Produces clusters of pale‑yellow early‑summer flowers that are beautifully fragrant but not showy, highly attractive to bees.
• More drought‑sensitive than hybrid lindens and prefers consistent moisture; adaptable to clay and alkaline soils but may show leaf scorch in extended dry periods.
• Full Sun
• Zone 3, 14–18 m Height × 6–8 m Width
