RED CREEPING THYME  Thymus praecox ‘Coccineus’
- A fragrant, mat‑forming groundcover with tiny aromatic leaves that stay evergreen under snow in many prairie gardens. In early to midsummer, it becomes blanketed in vibrant magenta‑red flowers that attract clouds of bees.
- The foliage forms a dense, low carpet that tolerates light foot traffic, making it excellent between stepping stones, along pathways, and in rock gardens. It thrives in hot, dry, well‑drained sites and spreads slowly but steadily without becoming invasive.
