SPICY DEVIL NINEBARK  Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Spicy Devil’

• Compact and fiery‑coloured, selected for its bright red new growth, which matures to deep burgundy through summer and intensifies again in fall. Its smaller size makes it ideal for urban yards, foundation plantings, and mixed borders where larger ninebarks would overwhelm.
• Produces soft pink‑white flower clusters in late spring that contrast beautifully with the dark foliage; blooms are followed by red seed capsules that add subtle late‑season interest.
• Mature stems develop the species’ characteristic exfoliating bark, providing winter texture and structure even after leaves drop.
• Naturally forms a dense, rounded, multi‑stemmed shrub with excellent shape retention and minimal pruning needs; bred for colour stability and compactness.
