Wheatland Trees Ltd is looking for Farm Workers for the 2026 Season.  This is seasonal work with regular hours.

• Perform manual labour outside in varied weather conditions
• Plant new tree stock & shrubs  in field 
• Mechanically/manually dig tree stock and prepare for shipment (using burlap and wire basket to protect rootball of tree)
• Cut grass and remove weeds
• Pruning, tagging, digging and trimming trees & plants
• Ability to safely operate a Skid Steer for loading and digging trees
• Fix and/or install irrigation lines for watering trees, shrubs
• Work by yourself and/or with a team
• Loading trucks with tree products
• Driving between farm locations
• Clearing snow and getting farm ready for winterization
• Applying pesticide to mitigate pests and pathogens
• Applying fertilizer and herbicides if required
• Applying metal/plastic protection to trees to prevent rodent damage to trees
• Safely operating and maintaining farm equipment
• Maintenance of farm buildings
• Miscellaneous farm duties as assigned

Attributes we are looking for:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Willing to learn
• Able to work long hours
• Must be physically fit
• Good communication skills
• Be a creative thinker

Work Location: Rural area outside Langdon, AB or Strathmore,AB on our two main farm locations and a number satellite farms. This is remote work with no transport to the farms.

Contract length:  6-8 months

Schedule: Monday – Saturday, and some Sundays
